He was predeceased by: his parents, James Greer and Zelda Kirksey Greer; and his brothers, Sammy David, Mack, Allen Ray and David Lee.
He is survived by: his son Shane Greer of Catawba; his stepdaughter Heather Ray (Scotty) of Maiden; his brother Calvin Greer (Angie Wilson) of Catawba; and his grandchildren, Hannah and Kyley Callahan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Mathis Chapel Baptist Church (1786 Mathis Church Rd, Catawba, NC 28609). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
