It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Haynes (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Haynes and EllaRee Violet Mahala Haynes; and his siblings, Buster Haynes, Jimmy Haynes, David Haynes, Eddie Haynes and Sally H. Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Carey Nantz Haynes; his sons, John Haynes (Brinda) of Shelby, Eric Haynes (Gail) of Mooresboro, Ace Haynes (Laura) of Boiling Springs and Jason Nantz (Lesley) of Kings Mountain; and his sister Barbara Ward (CE) of Crouse. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
