She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dewey and Ester Liggins Hester; and her siblings, Mabel Ray, Rosie Cooper, Ruth Cody, Christine Helms, Vergie Yarborough, Helen Hester, Odell Hester, Dewey Hester and Walter Hester.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Land; her daughter Anna Marie Land of Lincolnton; her brother James Hester of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Joshua Chisholm and Quinten Land (Katie); and her great grandchild Maggie Elizabeth Land.
