It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Wade of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Martha departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Martha. Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Lee and Ada Varner Putnam. She is survived by: her husband Carl R. Wade; her sister Ruby Lail of Sherrills Ford; and her nephews, James Lail of Cherryville and Hank Lail of Sherrills Ford. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Redemption Outreach Center (700 Lithia Inn Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (2858 W Hwy 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
