She was predeceased by : her parents, John Thomas and Emma Virginia Sale Roberts; her husband Wilford Clarence Avery; her daughter Vickie; and her brother Julian Roberts.

She is survived by : her children, Frances (Johnny), Joanne (Danny), Ray (Jeanie), Joe (Rosie), John (Darlene), Mike (Melinda), Donald (Debbie) and Bobby (Donna); and her grandchildren, Ashley (Wanda), Buffy (Bryan), Amy (Frank), Jennifer (Cale), Shelly (Lee), Tommy (Amber), Chad (Wendy), Marcie (Wesley), David (Abby), Alison, Amanda (Todd), Matt (Kelly), Chelsea, Travis (Brittney), Wilford (Julian) and Nick (Tylee). She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
