He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carpenter and Bonnie Neal Carpenter; and his brother Rick Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gales Carpenter of Vale; his son Bradley Carpenter (Ashley) of Granite Falls; his brother Thomas Carpenter (Vickie) of Indian Trail; his aunt Brenda Carpenter of Cherryville; his sister-in-law Carol Carpenter of Cherryville; and his grandchildren, Lainey and Tatum.
