He was predeceased by: his parents, James Horace McGinnis and Viola Dellinger McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Carole Mauney McGinnis; his children, Jeff McGinnis (Sherry) of Lincolnton and Marla M. Webb (Derek) of Alexis; his grandson Jarrett McGinnis (Gabrielle) of Lincolnton; and his siblings, Jerry McGinnis of Goldsboro, Elizabeth M. Payne (Bob) of Alexis and Betty M. Howard of Alexis.
