He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Beal and Jean Shrum; his stepfather Ray Shrum; his sister-in-law Norma Hendrick; his niece Bobbie Jean Woodie; and his nephew Shannon Peeler.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Davis Beal (Becky); his children, Amanda Norcutt (Amie) of Iron Station, NC and Dan Beal (Emily) of Vale, NC.; his grandchildren, Hannah Norcutt of Lincolnton, Emily Norcutt (James Ragan) of Lincolnton and Dalton Beal of Vale, NC.; his great grandchildren, Avery Norcutt, Oliver Huss, Landon Ragan and Baby Ragan; his sister Sherry Summers (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Nancy Maynor (Larry), Bobby Hendrick and Jeff Davis; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Peeler, Brandon Maynor, Nathan Davis, Tiffany Goins and Kaley Johnson; and his great-nieces, Ashley Rudisill and Rebecca Hastings.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (3413 NC-150, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
