It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Joseph Williams (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Williams and Mary Williams; and his wife Carolyn Heafner Williams.
He was the recipient of two Martha Baird Rockefeller Foundation Fund for Music grants, and a number of Metropolitan Opera Studio Stipendiums and Scholarships.
