She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Short and Bessie Trammel Short; her husband Troy Pruitt; her son Troy Jr.; and her siblings, Dwight Short, Lloyd Short, Clyde Short, Bill Short, Mamie Mosteller, Mazelle Saunders, Ethel Black and Betty Bennett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tanya Church (Ronnie) and Patricia Jones (Coy); her grandchildren, Dustin Reinhardt, Chasity Rosario (Yeisson), Chandra Jones, Trey Jones, Aby, Aly, Annie Rosario, Brailon, Zailon, Tailon Jones and Wyatt Reinhart; her sisters, Frances Neal and Shirley Pruitt; and her pet Thor. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 E Main St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery (300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
