She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Hall Avery, Sr. and Margaret Lemmond Avery. She is survived by : her daughter Deidra "Dede" Gallashaw (Anthony) of Lincolnton, NC; and her brothers, Harry Avery (Joan) of Lincolnton, NC, Joe Avery (Gena) of Crouse, NC and Kenneth Avery (Pamela) of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
