She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Jennings Asbury and Mary Susan Arney Asbury; her husband Rev. Robert Wesley Combs, Sr.; and her sister Carolyn Asbury Dysart. She is survived by: her son Robert W. "Robbie" Combs, II of Lincolnton; her niece Kelly Duschel of Lincolnton; her great-nieces, Jessica and Caitlyn Duschel; and her great-nephew Nicholas Duschel.
