He is survived by: his daughter Tanya Maddox Taylor; his grandsons, Khalid Sturdivant (Alexis) and Elijah Sturdivant; his siblings, Doris Hunter (Roger), Rev. Betty Stinson, Perry Maddox (Anita) and Barbara Maddox; and his sister-in-law Elder Mildred Maddox.
