He was predeceased by: his father Cyril Setzer; and his son Shawn Setzer. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Louise Bolick Setzer of Newton; his wife Sue Ann Setzer; his son Joshua Kiser (Lydia) of Lincolnton; his brother Danny Setzer (Kathy) of Newton; his grandchildren, Taylor Calvert (Doug), Jordan Setzer (Mitch), Braylon Kiser, Braxton Kiser, Brett Kiser and Blythe Kiser; his niece Kim Setzer; and his great-nieces, Brittany Carpenter (Wesley) and Kayla Braddy (Calvin) of Paul's Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Old St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery (2035 Old Conover-Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church 2035 Old Conover-Startown Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
