William Hansel Eaton Obituary

We announce the death of William Hansel Eaton (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 76. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Velma Ferguson Eaton; the fathers of children, William Eaton (Willa) of Lincolnton and Jared Eaton (Kim Dejong) of Highland, IN; his daughter Cari Eaton of Union, NC; his grandchildren, Austin, Markelle, Kayleigh, Cynthia, Donnie, Melissa, Shawn, Casey, Chris, Christopher, Christina, Taylor and Mark; his sisters, Lois Grizzle of Michigan and Prudy Monaghan of Tennessee; his parents, William Wallace Eaton and Edith Sherwood Eaton; and his brother Robert Eaton. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel (125 Dave Warlick Dr, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
