Deacon Isaac Byrd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deacon Isaac Byrd of Linden, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Byrd and Charles Byrd; his former wife Jannie Ruth Colvin Byrd; his son Isaac Byrd Jr.; and his siblings, Charlie Byrd (Ruby), Rosa Blue (Norman), Eloise Robinson (Glenn) and Williard Byrd.
He is survived by: his friends, Jerome and Carolyn Western; his wife Emily McClean Byrd of Angier, NC; his sister Roxanne Levy (Rabbi Lawrence) of Queens; and his children, Irvin Byrd of Perris, California, Jackie McCaskill (Ron) of Raleigh, Andrew Byrd (Marquita) of Rocky Mount, Cynthia Colin (Kevin) of Miami, Florida, Deborah Hill of Laurel, Maryland, Carolyn Byrd (Rome) of Raleigh and Sonya Byrd of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
