He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jonas "Buster" Thomas and Mildred Hair Thomas; his wife Janice Ann Thomas; his sisters, Daphine Vera Thomas and Jackie Hair; and his pet Buster.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Thomas of Linden, April Thomas-Newton (Tavorris) of Garner, Renee Cooper (Joseph) of Linden and Terry Jason Thomas of Linden; his grandchildren, Selena Chavez, Trent Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Chance Newton, Haley Cooper, Preston Cooper, Brooklyn Newton and Nautika Newton; and his pets, Hank, Jax, Molly and Harley.
