We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2020 we had to say goodbye to John Slater of Linville Falls, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona and Whedon Slater of Bloomington; his brother James Slater of Longboat Key, Fla.; and his daughter Meghan Slater of Asheville, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Diane Slater of Linville Falls, NC; his daughter Stephanie Slater-Hessenflow (Suzi Hessenflow); and his stepsons, David Woodard (Lewina) and Trevor Woodard (Michelle). He is also survived by many grandchildren and a great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Crossnore School & Children's Home.
