He was predeceased by : his parents, Elton Leon Short and Virginia Hilliard Short. He is survived by : his daughters, Haley Paynter (Shawn), Savannah Short (Zachary Gardner) and Abigail Short (Brandon Williams); his grandchildren, Zachary Paynter, Sebastian Paynter and Jameson Williams; and his siblings, Virginia Rose Short White (Stuart), John Short and Anne Short.
