He is survived by: his wife Quentina Smith Burgess; his children, Eugene Burgess, Jr. (Valerie) of Maryland and Latrisha Burgess (William) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Jocelyn Burgess, Latravian Burgess, Ciara Burgess and Joshua Pinder; his siblings, Thomas Burgess (Phyllis) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Susie Harvey (John) of Gaston, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Burgess, Phyllis Vincent of Roanoke, Barbara Cherry (Michael), Gwendolyn Walker and Dan Walker III of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
