She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Sumsky and Betty Lewis Sumsky; her grandson Robert Updike; and her husband Kenneth Odell Updike. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Odell Updike, Jr. and Garland Wayne Updike (Gloria); her granddaughters, Jessica Ferguson and Theresa Creech (Kasey Creech); her great grandchildren, Skyler Creech, Penelope Creech, Cameron Updike, Lillie Mae Updike and Luna Lynne Updike; her sister Janice; and her brother-in-law Jay Jones.
