He was predeceased by : his parents, Acie Byrd, Sr. and Roxy "Sallie" Garner Byrd; his siblings, Clarence Byrd, David Byrd, Acie Byrd, Jr. and Nancy Byrd; and his significant other Cozy Jane McKoy.
He is survived by : his sisters, Shirley Byrd Scott and Patricia A. Byrd of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his stepsons, Lewis Edward McKoy, Jr. and William James McKoy; and his aunts, Lillie Mae Garner and Dora Garner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Because of Covid-19, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and limiting the number of persons in attendance will be practiced.
