She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Terry, Jr. and Jessie Mae Ivory Terry; her son Alphonso Carter; and her grandson Sequan Carter. She is survived by: her children, Angie Newell (Steve) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Bobby C. Carter (Loretta) of Littleton, NC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Newell of Durham, NC, Kevin Newell of Roanoke Rapids, NC, LaRhonda Perry of Roanoke Rapids, NC and LaTrell Carter of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her sister Alice Howard of Littleton, NC; her uncles, Emerson Terry of Toms River, NJ, James Terry of Vaughan, NC, Billy Terry of New Jersey and Mike Terry of Maryland; her aunt Leanetta Terry of Boston, MA; and her siblings-in-law, Willis Carter (Helen) of Littleton, NC and Viola Shivers of Columbia, MD. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
