She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Maude Crawley Gupton; her husband Melvin; her son Ray; her daughter-in-law Sarah; and her siblings, Joe, John Thomas, Robert Louis, Frank Allen Gupton, Wille Gray Gupton, Theora Fisher, Myldred Dawson, Addie Rodwell and Magnora Davis.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Louis Shearin (Norma) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joe Allen Shearin (Cindy) of Hopewell, VA and Bruce Shearin (Cathy) of Arcola, NC.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
