She was predeceased by : her parents, Jessie Porter and Eunice Strickland Porter; her former life partner Robert Lee Armstrong, Sr.; her sister Tootsie Barefoot; and her son-in-law Frankie Smith.
She is survived by : her husband Billy Griffith; her children, Connie Moss (Roy) of Emporia, Virginia, Robert Lee Armstrong, Jr. of Halifax and Charles Phillip "Chuck" Armstrong (Wendy) of Holly Springs; her sister-in-law Jean Haskins of Halifax; her stepchildren, Victoria Lynn Moore (Joshua) of Wilson and Richard William Griffith of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Gregory Adam Byers (Kelly), William Coleman Smith, Charles Lee Smith, Chelsea Anne Armstrong, Allison Mya Armstrong and Chloe Mae Armstrong; and her great grandchildren, Michaela Elizabeth Armstrong, Christa Nicole Spruill, Jenna Louise Armstrong, McKenna Grace Simpson and Brenna Jae Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the John 3:16 Center in Littleton and Roanoke Rapids.
