He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Morris and Herman Morris; and his brothers, Allen and Ron. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Mills (Blaine, DC), Morris (Lauren) and April Lassiter (John); his grandchildren, Ava Clarke Morris, Drake Morris, Riley Mills and Brayden Mills; his former wife Jessica; his sister June Lazo; and his close friend Angela Myrick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
