She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Soots and Cleo Soots; her husband Ray Joel Smith; her son Derek Ray Smith; and her siblings, Barbara Jean Soots, Robert Soots, Arnold Soots, Richard Soots and Roger Soots.
She is survived by: her children, Marian Lambert and Mark Smith; her grandchildren, Candice Mullins (Jeremy), Dee Blevins (Scott), Samantha Smith (Nicole) and Allison Smith; her great grandchildren, Boston, Canaan, Ethan Mullins, Brady Blevins, Brisen and Lawson Smith; and her brothers, Ralph Soots (Jane) and Larry Soots. She is also survived by many nieces, nephew.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Community Church (818 N Central Ave, Locust, NC 28097). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
