Annette Lee Leonard Obituary
Annette Leonard, 67, of the White Level community passed peacefully at home on December 31, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Burnell and Sedonia Murphy Leonard. In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her niece, Rita Bailey; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Marks.
Annette is survived by her sister, Wanda Marks; as well as nieces and nephews, Denise Melvin (Richard), Josh Marks (Connie), Tyler Bailey (Kaley), Celina Bailey, Logan Pate (Tommy), Caitlyn Melvin (Braxton Barnes), Austin Marks, Lily Bailey, Landon Bailey, Eli Marks, Anna Marks, Hunter Bailey, and Presley Pate.
She held numerous jobs as a store clerk, a caretaker, an EMT with White Level Rescue Squad, Wal-Mart, and finally she retired from Burlington Mills in Rocky Mount.
Annette always spoke her mind, and spoke plainly. She always supported the underdog. If she considered you as a friend, you were blessed. She was all about family; family always came first. Her family could always rely on her for assistance. She will surely be missed.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at The Leonard Family Cemetery in White Level.
