Danny Lee Ayscue Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Lee Ayscue, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, and dedicated member of his community.
Danny devoted his life to hard work and service. He spent more than 30 years with the Department of Transportation before retiring. Never one to slow down, he continued working for over 20 additional years with Pruitt Lumber Company. His strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family were evident throughout his life.
Danny shared over 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jewel Shearin Ayscue. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
He was a cherished son of the late Henry and Mae Ayscue and the loving father of Michael Craig Ayscue. Danny was also a devoted brother to his seven siblings and a proud grandfather to Matthew, Melissa, and Madelynn Ayscue, the children of Craig and Sondra, whom he loved beyond measure. One of his greatest joys was becoming a great-grandfather to Ellie, daughter of Melissa and Chris.
Known affectionately as Grandpa and Big Pop, Danny's greatest pride was his family. He was a steady presence, a trusted friend, and a person his community could always count on. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those he loved left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
While we are deeply saddened by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Danny is now in Heaven, singing praises and preparing a place for his loved ones to join him one day. His legacy of faith, hard work, love, and devotion will continue to live on through the family and friends he leaves behind.
