David Alfred Achenbach Obituary

David Achenbach, 62, died peacefully at his home in Louisburg, NC on August 3, 2026.

Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, he is the son of the late Alfred and Sonia Achenbach. He was born on October 17, 1963.

He is survived by his wife, Stacey, sisters Sandra Achenbach Sellers, Kim Carmona, and Melanie Donmoyer, brother John Achenbach, step-mother Sue Achenbach, step-sister Lori Delbo, several nieces and nephews, and faithful dogs Tanner and Nitro.

David loved auto racing. He served as a team mechanic on sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway outside of Harrisburg, PA. He and his wife and a group of friends loved to attend National Hot Rod Association races. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Late in life he became interested in knives, even forging his own knives, and selling them as Crabby's Blades.

There will be a celebration of his life in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina in the near future.
