Georgette Baker Obituary
Georgette Foster Baker, a beloved mother, GiGi, sister, aunt, nurse, and friend, went home to be with Jesus on October 2, 2026.
Georgette lived a life defined by love, service, and an unwavering willingness to care for others. She spent her career as a nurse touching countless lives through her compassion, kindness, and gift for caring for people. While nursing was her profession, her greatest joy in life was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Being a mother and GiGi was the role she cherished most and there was nothing she loved more than spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Baker; her father, George Foster; and her mother Frances Foster.
She leaves behind a family who will carry her love with them always: her daughters, Sabrina Cox (Jason) and Kim Baker (Travis Benton); her grandsons Levi Cox and Marshall Cox; granddaughter Jasie Cox; her sister Sheila Allen (Bobby); her special niece Meagan Hendrix (Ryan); and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews.
A visitation will be held at Lancaster Funeral & Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, NC, 27549 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday October 6th, 2026 at Louisburg United Methodist Church, 402 N Main St, Louisburg, NC 27549 with burial following at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
