Jackie Chappell Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Gilliam Chappell, 69, of 214 Fox Ridge Road, Louisburg, NC passed away at home on November 23, 2025. Jackie, who was known to many as "Aunt Jax," "Moose," or "Mama Cow," was kind-hearted, witty and an all around great mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was fiercely loyal to her people and would drop everything to come and help someone she loved who was in need. Her love, wit and laughter will be greatly missed by so many. Although we are crushed that she is no longer here with us, we take great comfort in that she is at peace and with those she loved who have gone on before her, especially her husband, Kenneth Wayne Chappell, her parents, Clayborne and Sarah Ann Gilliam, and her brother, Ronnie Gilliam. She is survived by her children, Leslie Nicole Chappell and Kevin Wayne Chappell (Elisabeth), her grandson, Noah; her siblings, Ricky Gilliam (Edith), Sherry Waddell (Rodney), Wayne Gilliam (Rochelle), Johnny Gilliam (Amanda), Dawn Qualley (Steven), and many beloved nieces and nephews. The memorial service for Jackie will be held on her birthday, this Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Anchor Baptist Church (30 Bethlehem Church Road, Youngsville, NC 27596) at 2:00 PM, with a visitation at the church immediately to follow.
