Jeffrey Le Roy Hildreth Obituary

Jeffrey Le Roy Hildreth, 77, passed away on August 12, 2026 in his home.

Jeffrey was born on May 28, 1949 in Nyack, NY. He was the only child of Patricia and Henry Hildreth. Jeff is survived by his much-loved family: wife of 52 years, Leslie; sons Corbin (Michelle), Bryan, Graham (Laura), and Simon; Grandchildren Calum, Ewan, Lily, and Eleanor; in-laws, nieces, nephews, and his 102-year-old mother in-law, Lillian Moore.

Jeff served his community as a clinical psychologist for over 40 years at Wake County Mental Health and Disability and Vocational Rehabilitation. Growing up he had various homes including Panama, England, and Germany. Jeff was an avid reader and history buff. He served on the Louisburg Historic Preservation Commission, coached youth soccer, volunteered in Scouts, and loved "puttering" in his workshop.

He was a kindhearted man who loved animals, nature, and especially his family. We will miss his quiet, thoughtful way and dry sense of humor.
