She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli W. Denton and Etta Pearl Denton; and her husband Charles B. Mitchell, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Perry (Ronald); her granddaughter Katie Hardy (Corey); her great grandchild Caleb Hardy; her siblings, Eli "Junior" Denton (Helen) and Carolyn Perry (Ronnie); her siblings-in-law, Waddell Mitchell (Jane) and Phyllis Alford (Jim); her pets, Peanut, Maggie and Maddie; and her caregivers, Trudy Lamm and Polly Allmon.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church (9649 Stoney Hill Church Rd, Middlesex, NC 27557).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church – Building Fund.
