She was predeceased by : her parents, Hubert Williams and Geneva Carter Williams; her husband Bobby Wheless Murphy; her siblings, Rodger Bishop, Hugh Williams, Jackie Bishop and Lucy Jenkins; and her parents-in-law, Garvis and Wilma Murphy.

She is survived by : her children, Doug Murphy (Ashly) of Virginia and Geneva Murphy (Tabatha Ray) of Henderson; and her grandchildren, Ashlyn Mahaffey (Dylan), Tyler Murphy and Madison Ayscue.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services (804 N Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, NC 27549).
