He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Oten Hiatt and Virginia Belle Hiatt; and his brother Carroll Hiatt. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Creed Hiatt; his son Richard Brandon Hiatt; his daughter-in-law Lila Hiatt; his grandson Breven Hiatt; and his stepson Grant Cockerham.
