He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Gurley Johnson; his parents, Melvin Johnson and Gertie Keene Johnson; and his sister Alice Jeannette Massengill. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Johnson (Donna) of Lucama and Dennis Johnson of Pensacola, FL; his grandson Tyler Johnson (Holley) of Lucama; his close friend Judy Mason of Lucama; and his siblings, Gail Matthews (Jimmy) of Smithfield and Joey Johnson (Arlene) of Lucama.
