He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Taylor Raper; his son Zachary Raper; his sister-in-law Amy Taylor; his parents, Will "Jack" Raper and Mildred Raper; and his siblings, William Raper, Kenneth Raper and Peggy Tomlinson.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Wood (Barry Wood) of Fremont; his grandchildren, Aaron Wood of Wilson, Victoria Wood of Lucama and Hope Wood (Steven Vick) of Knightdale; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Taylor of Wilson, Janice Ford and Susan Bullock. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
