It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Barnes Holland of Lucama, North Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lettie Kirby Barnes and Arthur Barnes; her husband Willis "Bill" Holland; her children, Wilma and Steven; her son-in-law Raymond "Ray" White; her sister Sybil B. Lucas; and her siblings-in-law, Doris B. Godwin, Lucille Holland, Ruby L. Holland, Annie Lee Barnes, Betty Faye Raper, Stearle Pittman and Jimmy Holland.
She is survived by: her daughter Alice H. White of Wilson; her granddaughter Rachel W. Johnson (R. G. Johnson) of Wilson; her great grandchildren, Corben Riley Johnson and Camden Ray Johnson; her stepgranddaughter Laura Carver (Stephen Carver) of Clemmons; her stepgreat-granddaughters, Kyndal Carver, Khloe Carver and Kennedy Carver; her sisters, May B. Pittman of Greenville and Barbara B. Ritter (Phil Ritter) of Madison, WI; and her sister-in-law Judy Holland (Tom Lucas) of Wilson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
