He was predeceased by: his parents, David J. Rose, Sr. and Louisa Tedder; his wife Katie Alma Mitchell Rose; his daughter Janice Rose Willoughby; and his siblings, James Hardy Rose, Clint Rose, Elsie Lassiter, Eloise Rose Knutson and David Rose, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Wanda Rose Carlyle, Penny Rose Jones and Luther Marcus Rose (Jackie); his sister Beatrice Rose Fail; and his pet Smokey. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery.
