He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Cleburn Curtis and Gertrude Ludelle Wright Curtis; his sisters, Hazel Kirby (Glynell) and Connie Zigler; his wife Penny Ditchfield Curtis; and the mother of his children Carolyn Ellison.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Curtis of Lucama, Dyan Phillips (LaVon) of Wilson and Lisa Jones (Dale) of Princeton; his brother-in-law Richard Zigler; his grandchildren, Shane Phillips (April) of Princeton, Seth Phillips (Tracey) of Princeton, Sean Phillips (Ginger) of Wilson, Chris Barnes (Grace) of Chapel Hill, Elisabeth Smith, Aaron of Garner and Anthony Jones of Princeton; his great grandchildren, Nick, Selah, Aaron, Luke, Drew, Reid, Christian, Chandler, Isabella, Hunter, Aubrey and Brycen; his great great grandchild Riley; his stepdaughter Heather Lenihan (Chuck); and his stepgrandchildren, Sevren and Aria. He is also survived by His children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home & Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Princeton Cemetery.
