He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stewart and Hattie Bell Stewart; his daughter Bonnie Lynn Hunt; and his siblings, Herbman Stewart, Dwight Stewart, David Stewart, Mable Whitaker and Hattie Mae Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ellen McNeill Stewart; his children, Dannie Ray Stewart of Lumberton, Anthony Stewart of Virginia and Arbedilla Stewart of Lumberton; and his brothers, Walter Stewart of Lumberton, Marshal Stewart of Lumberton and Willie Stewart of Maryland. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
