He was predeceased by: his grandson Cooper Blake Oxendine; and his siblings, Eugene Smith, Jimmy Smith, Jackie Ray "Stewart" Smith, Betty Jane Smith and Argie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Smith; his children, Micky Oxendine (Kaye) of Lumberton, Christine Lowery (Danny) of St. Pauls, Annette of St. Pauls and Patricia Lowery (David) of Lumberton; his siblings, Terry Smith (Ann) of St, Sam Locklear of Maxton and Lois Lowery (Pete) of St. Pauls; and his grandchildren, Antionatte Lowery, Anita Carter, Josh Oxendine, Justin Oxendine, Alex Lowery, Johnathan Lowery and Messiah Sanchez. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren as well a host of other relatives and friends.
