With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Belton Locklear Jr. of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Belton Locklear Sr. and Aline Locklear of Lumberton; his siblings, Joyce Locklear, Artis Scott, Fletcher Locklear and Frank Godwin; and his son Bobby Jo Locklear.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie T. Locklear; his daughter Brittney Locklear; his grandson Nicholas Strickland, Jr.; his children, Terri L. Lowry (Phillip) of Lumberton, Mary L. Locklear (Gary) of Lumberton, Amy Hammonds of Lumberton, Thomas Santee of Orrum and Victoria Locklear (Carey) of Lumberton; his sister Therly Mae Scott of Lumberton; and his friends, Joe Carter, David Earl Thomas and Robert Lowery. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
