He is survived by: his children, Mary Elizabeth Barnes (Alexis) and Ricky Mack Prevatte (Lynn); his grandchildren, Rose Prevatte and Jamison Barnes; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Alton Prevatte, Jr. (Stephanie) of Lumberton, Billy Wayne Phillips of Lumberton, Jeffery Phillips (Stephanie) of Lumberton, Christine Liles (George) of Lumberton, Wilma Glasgow (Tim) of Tarheel, Carolynn Milton of Tarheel, Wanda Christian (Wayne) of Hope Mills and Bobbie Jill Williams (Terrence) of Blythewood, SC..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Memorial Chapel (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Singletary Baptist Church Cemetery (4061 Singletary Church Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
