It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cindy Marie Chavis of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pem Chavis and Marie Ivey Carter of Fairmont; and her brother Ernest Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Tabatha Chavis (Timothy), Willie "BJ" Maynor of Pembroke and Domonique Maynor (Damascus) of Pembroke; her siblings, Linda Deese of Tennessee, Delois Chavis (Cleveland) of Fairmont, Johnny Hunt (Darlene) of Lumberton, Willa Hunt (N. A.) of Rowland, Wendy Chavis of Fairmont, Carolyn Hunt of Fairmont, Peggy Clark (Roy) of Pembroke and Lannie Brewington (Victor) of Lumberton; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Cheyenne, Destiny, Nala, Chenoa, James, Emma and Nathen.
