Clara Joyce Smith Bass Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2025, at the age of 85, Clara Joyce Smith Bass of Lumberton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Atlas Wade Smith and Maggie Prevatte Smith of Lumberton, N. C; her husband Gerald "Croker" Bass; her stepson-in-law Michael Gene Britt; and her brother-in-law Robert Fields.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Melissa "Missy" Bass Britt, Michael Shane, Trey Britt, Brent and Gabe Britt; her brother Wade C. Smith; her nieces, Candance Smith Galliera (Phillip) of Apex, N. C. and Tiffany Smith of Hope Mills, N. C.; her great-nephew Christian Galliera (Kristen) of Raleigh, NC; her great-niece Keely Galliera of Apex, N. C.; her sisters-in-law, Jennifer Fields of Lumberton, N. C. and Dolores Annette "Net" Whitt (Roger) of Selma, N. C.; and her cousin Pricilla Mizzell (Larry).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lumberton First Pentecostal Holiness Church (812 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
