He was predeceased by: his parents, John Norton and Flonnie Bell Norton; his former wife Doris Maynor Norton; his siblings, Bobby Norton, JC Norton, Lindsey Norton and Bonnie Norton; his son-in-law James P. Oxendine; and his granddaughter Victoria Hammonds.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hunt Norton; his children, Freddie (Janine), Michael Norton (Catasha), Cassandra Oxendine and Elizabeth Seymour (Emery); his grandchildren, Frederick (Kelsey), Mykiah, Tiffany, Franchesca, Danielle, Santana, Savannah and Michelia; his great grandchildren, Julius, Frederick, Elisha, Preston, Zachery and Christian; his granddaughters, Kinley, Julia, Ariyah, Skylar and Dayla; his stepgrandchildren, Michael and Matosha; his stepdaughters, Veronica and Monica Locklear; his stepgrandchildren, Leanna, Deanna, Mohanna, Da'Montay and Jakobi; and his siblings, John Norton, Marie Hall (Jimmy) and Emilean Hall (Johnny).
