Connie Lee Ransom Obituary
Mrs. Connie Lee Hunt Ransom, age 70, of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on September 9, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 26, 1951 to the late William Benton Hunt, Sr. and the late Evie Hunt.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Dean Ransom; a son, Christopher Lynn Ransom; a brother, Hal March Hunt; and a daughter-in-law, Beverely Anne Clark.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories three daughters: Sheri Lynn Ransom-Clark of Maxton, NC, Mary Elizabeth Ransom-Wormack (Zuan) of Lumberton, NC, and Brittany Nicole Ransom of the home; two sons, Kevin Christopher Ransom (Tonya) of Lumberton, NC and Johnathan Lee Ransom of the home; a special son, John Ross Jacobs of Lumberton, NC; four sisters: Marie Carol Hunt of Pembroke, NC, Gloria Ann Hunt (Olin), Wilhemina Hunt, and Teresa Joan Wilkes (Wayne), all of Rowland, NC; and two brothers, Roger Dale Hunt and William Benton, Jr., both of Fairmont, NC. She was also the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is survived by special friends, Theresa Byrant and Bradley Lewis, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Northside Independent Church with Rev. Timmy Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.
