He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hunt and Beulah M. Hammonds; his wife Madeline Carol Hunt; his grandson Arry; and his siblings, Beadie Jane Deal, Liza Mae Hunt and Earl Hammonds, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Gina Carol Hunt, Angie Hunt (James) and Loretta Carol Hunt (Milk Milk); and his sisters, Letha Mae Chavis (James) of Fairmont and Cathie Rowell of Fairmont. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
